It is not exactly other peoples fault that in the past Russia was a fucked up Communist country filled to the brim with awful things and making everyone else afraid, dunno what kind of fucked up version of history Russia teaches but this is how the rest of the world teaches it, by all means, I am not gonna be so insane to say that every other country teaches history correctly, it is in every country's best interest to hide all the bad stuff and only glorify the good stuff to make our respective home countries look better in the eyes of the newer generations. Like damn, what the fuck? Real life does imitate fiction. However the movie was finished after the Sony purchase causing an issue.I honestly find it rather funny that you Russians see all this Commie bashing as basically insulting Russia and its people itself, it is just like in the LN, make the people associate Communist ideology as the same as their nation, so when you insult Communism, you rile up the nationalist people to defend their "nation", aka Communist ideology. There was probably a deal cut between Funimation and Crunchyroll to allow for the dub to be on the Crunchyroll platform. Since Funimation was bought by Sony they dissolved the deal with Crunchyroll forcing certain shows that were only licensed by Funimation to be pulled from the platform and since the movie was dubbed by Funimation there is more likely than not an issue with the rights to the dub, because Crunchyroll has the right to the show but Funimation has the rights to the actual English dub. That's why even though Crunchyroll had the license for Tanya Funimation were the ones that dubbed it and also why it was available on their platform.

Under the the Funimation and Crunchyroll agreement they would share licenses of shows and Funimation would tale care of the dubbing. The main issue is that The Saga of Tanya the Evil was done as a collaborative effort between Funimation and Crunchyroll before Funimation was bought by Sony.
